A few things of note here. The oldest item, and the only one previously posted anywhere, is the bass demo from 17 September 2020. All I wrote on SoundCloud at the time:

There's a hint of something worth saving here. Maybe it will be a real thing later. I love the DI tone I get from this bass using flatwound strings.

It's still not quite a real thing, but I keep playing with it years later. I attached excerpts of several attempts to make it a thing, usually using scratch drums.

The 'excerpt' track from 30 August 2023 has terrible scratch drums, but an attempt at solo bass using my new wah pedal.

Of note: the eponymous "grungy bass jam thing" from 29 May 2022, which my notes say employ "Alesis SR18 drum track 19 (HardRok1), piStomp presets 'Grungy/PJ'", was only ever shared on Mastodon, but it's what prompted Jessica to initially reach out to me about playing bass on a project she was working on, which would eventually morph into several other projects and is currently known as Jessica B. Kelly and the Void Conspiracy. So there's that.

I really ought to finish this.
